The study of the student’s perception on using authentic material and autonomous learning is mostly affected by collocation awareness. Therefore, efforts to improve the student’s collocation awareness must be accompanied by efforts to optimize the student’s perception on using authentic material and settle the autonomous learning. With these efforts bellow are expected that student’s perception on using authentic material will be optimized and as the result will bring betterment for his/her ability in collocation awareness. Efforts to optimize the student’s collocation awareness through the student’s perception on using authentic material are: (a) to open up the student’s mind in the beginning of learning, learning processes and outcomes; (b) to inform the students about the importance of student’s perception on using authentic material as modality to follow the lesson; (c) to direct the learning activities professionally; (d) to optimize the student’s perception on using authentic material and its context by giving them appropriate various treatment in the classroom activity so that the classroom activity will be like a real-life situation; (e) to build up student’s awareness about the student’s perception on using authentic material in the aspect of communication especially in discourse, not only in the present moment but also the…
